NUS (#8 globally) and NTU (#15) are highly selective. You typically need Class 12 marks of 90%+ (PCM for engineering), IELTS 6.5+, and SAT 1350+ or equivalent. The acceptance rate is around 5–10%. Strong extracurriculars, research experience and excellent SOPs help.
Singapore is one of Asia's most expensive cities. Monthly living costs range from SGD 1,500–2,500 (INR 90,000–1,50,000). On-campus housing (NUS, NTU) costs SGD 500–1,000/month. Hawker centre meals cost SGD 3–8. Hawker centres and international dining are widely available at all price points.
