NUS (#8 globally) and NTU (#15) are highly selective. You typically need Class 12 marks of 90%+ (PCM for engineering), IELTS 6.5+, and SAT 1350+ or equivalent. The acceptance rate is around 5–10%. Strong extracurriculars, research experience and excellent SOPs help.
Singapore is one of Asia's most expensive cities. Monthly living costs range from SGD 1,500–2,500 (INR 90,000–1,50,000). On-campus housing (NUS, NTU) costs SGD 500–1,000/month. Hawker centre meals cost SGD 3–8. Hawker centres and international dining are widely available at all price points.
Yes. Singapore graduates who find employment can apply for Employment Pass (EP) and then Permanent Residency (PR) after 1–2 years of work. NUS/NTU graduates have a significant advantage. Many international professionals have obtained Singapore PR through this route.
